What A Month So Far

If you don't want to hear about politics/reality, don't read this post.  See ya tomorrow.

I guess I won't be able to put my contact lenses in today because crying always gets schmutz all over them.
Last night it was the news that Osama bin Laden was shot in the head.  I love that part.  I love the part where an American SEAL confronted him and shot him dead.  This isn't over, it's not entering a new phase, we're still at war, we will always be at war because they want us dead.  If they stop wanting us dead it can be over but for 1400 years they've wanted everyone else dead so I don't hold out much hope.

If you think this has nothing to do with my work, you're wrong.  Two words.  Blue Raja.

So I was all emotional when I went to Amazon to check on the sales.  It seemed like such a large number when the month was only 30 hours old that there was no choice but to cry in gratitude and relief.  NLM had sold 237 copies by 6 am.

As a little treat, I offer the preliminary cover for Bad Apple 3.  I suspect it's the final but I've got time to play with it, so might.

Some years back I made this vid.  It's Kate Smith singing God Bless America.  I can't listen to it without crying and the final note is so clear, so perfect that I am in awe of her voice.  It was written by the great genius of popular music, Irving Berlin.

Don't bother viewing it if all things America bug you, this will just annoy you.

I was one of those 237! Congratulations, I'm glad I've started reading this blog and am looking forward to reading NLM.

Thank you! I'm thrilled to be able to say that "in person".
